"Arigatou Gozaimasu" is like "Thank you". It is a polite and most common used word of saying thank you to strangers, older people and customers.

"Domo Arigatou Gozaimasu" is like "Thank you very much". It is the most polite way of saying thank you and commonly used in business settings. You can also use it to older people.
