I'd rather define this as (verb/inf.)ことはない, the meaning being the
simple verb->gerund conversion + negation and thus referring to

I have also seen the expression: (verb/inf.)必要はない used to mean
the same thing. Is there a difference nuance between these, or one
preferred over another? (contributor: karamu san)
Is this right? Shouldn`t it be 〜ことではない
〜ことはない means that thing isn`t or doesn`t exist but
ではない means its not that kind of thing.
I don`t think I have heard a native speaker use ことはない
jyubun can also mean enough or sufficent. so #5820 could be translated as
because there is sufficent time, there is no need to hurry.

I hear this grammar pattern used by native speakers all the time. I'd say
it's the number one way to say there's no need/it's not necessary.
