にしろ; にせよ (nishiro; niseyo) - Even though; Even if; Whether 〜
or 〜; Whether or not

--- Notes ---
use it like this

(although A) -nishiro- (you should not B)
(poor) -nishiro- (you should not steal)

often (even) is used as a prefix.

FORMATION:
Ｖ(plain form) + にしろ・にせよ
いＡ + にしろ・にせよ
なＡ・Ｎ + (である) + にしろ・にせよ

--- Examples ---
たとえ貧乏にせよ盗みはいけないよ！
Even though you are poor, you should not steal

たとえ社長になったにせよ謙虚な生活をした方がいい。
Even if you become company President, it's better to be humble.

本当にしろうそにしろ
Whether true or not true.

どんな金持ちにしろ地獄に財産を持って行けない
However rich he may be, he cannot take his wealth to Hell!

いずれにしろ
whether or not

いくら忙しいに（も）せよ食事をしないのはよくない。
How so ever busy you may be, skipping the meals is not good.

どんな人に会うにしろ、失礼はだめです。
regardless of who ever you meet, bad manners are unacceptable.

彼に同意するにせよしないにせよ、考えさせられる話だ。
Whether you agree with him or not, that is thought-provoking.

どういう結果になるにせよ、やるだけやってみるべきだ。
No matter the outcome, you at least have to try.

どんな理由があるにせよ人を殺す権利はない。
You have no right to kill anybody, no matter the reason (for any reason).



いくら有狽ﾅあるにせよ、努力なしに成功できるとは思わない。
No matter how much skill you have, I don't think you can succeed without
great effort.

少年にしろ、成人にしろ、悪いことをしたら、厳しい罰を受けるべきです。
Whether a juvenile or an adult, if someone does something bad, he/she
should receive strict punishment.

旅行に行くにせよ、行かないにせよ、早く決めたほうがいい。
You should decide soon whether or not you're going to take a trip.

たった三日の旅行にせよ、準備は必要だ。
Even if it is a journey of three days only, preparation is necessary.

にせよ and にしろ are the same. but very different from のくせに
which is stronger like 'despite' (contributor: dc)

If you've got all にせよ examples and no にしろ I suggest moving
changing the 'headline' entry to にせよ. (contributor: Amatuka)

at the moment everything (including links) is indexed off the headline

Can you explain when we use にしろ and when to use にせよ? tks

I totally can't read that Kanji-Katakana in #6372, and I highly doubt
にも（かかわらず） should mix with にせよ in #5813. By the way,
was it rubyhatchetさん　himself who marked the entries as excellent in
the first place? I doubt the value of this kind of valuating system.
